Glitches and Rumors
Glitches
As great a game as this is, the original cartridge has quite a few bugs. This is evident by what are known as glitches. These can make odd things happen to your game. sometimes it will only last for a few minutes during a battle, sometimes the effects are more lasting. This part of the page is dedicated to such bugs in the game, most of which are beneficial. As far as I know, this will only work for the cartridge version on the SNES. some might work on the PlayStation, though. None of these will work all the time, and some of them are rather difficult to do. These will also run a high risk of erasing all of your saved games on the cart, just as an FYI. But, here we go.
Getting General Leo glitch
This glitch is odd. It only works for a battle, but I have actually done it, and it does work. This is actually how I beat the game the first time. In Kefka's tower, my party was Sabin, Terra, Edgar, and Relm. I don't know what order they were in, or if that even had anything to do with it. Anyway, we ran into a battle, and I had Relm sketch a Mad Oscar or something like it in the tower. And all of a sudden, the game got all glitchy and the names in the battle menu, instead of up and down assumed a diamond shape, and Edgar was replaced with an image of General Leo. When I got out of the battle, I had soooo much stuff. I had about a dozen Economizers, like a thousand dirks (which i sold for tons of moolah!), a bunch of Illuminas (the best sword in the freakin game) a bunch of Excaliburs, an extra Ragnarok (b/c I had taken the sword), and a bunch of other neat and rare relics. It was so freakin cool! that's how I beat the game the first time, b/c I threw a bunch of Illuminas at Kefka and I had economizers which let me cast spells for practically nothing. It was easy that way. Anyway, apparently, something is glitchy about the cartridge when it comes to Relm and Edgar, especially Relm, because most glitches I hear about come from her sketching. And apparently, she makes a lot of glitchiness when combined with Edgar in a lot of situations.
Rumors
Final Fantasy 3/6. What a great game. And like most great games, the makers left some stuff up to the players to figure out. In the years since the game was made, many many people have engaged in philosophical debates as to the "men behind the masks" of Shadow and Gogo, or what "really" happened to Gestahl or Darill or General Leo or whoever. This part of the page is dedicated to those pholosophical debates. If anyone has anything to add, now is the time, by all means. Getting Siegfried and General Leo
I personally think this is utter crap. But, here it goes. It's a rumor, and thus belongs here. It is rumored that, in ten easy steps, you can get both of these elusive characters to fight with you in your party. here it goes:
you must be in the 2nd world
you CAN NOT get Gogo
you must fight 4000 battles in the phantom forest
you will then fight a Gold Dragon
defeat the dragon to obtain the item to bring back wayward spirits
use the item to revive General Leo
After obtaining Leo go to the coloseum
Fight with Leo at the coloseum
You will then fight Sigfried
By beating him with Leo, Sigfried will join your party -Alex the Mercenary
