-The World of Ruin-

1. Solitary Island
Party: Celes
When you jump from the Floating Continent, the face of the planet has been . . . well. . . rearranged. To say the least. When you wake up as Celes, you’re in a tiny island a million miles south of everywhere. You’ve been sleeping for a year. Talk about sleeping in. I mean, I like to sleep in as much as the next guy, but I can only sleep in until about 9:30 am. A year! Man. . . anyway, Cid, who was taking care of you, was beginning to think you’d never wake up. However, now he’s starting to get sick. He lays down in bed and tells you to catch some fish for him. Exit the house and go down one screen until you get to the beach. There’s some fish in the water! Wow! Now, there’s two different kinds of fish. There’s slow moving fish, which are very boring. And then there’s fast moving fish, which are kinda hard to catch sometimes. If you want Cid to get better, catch ONLY the fast fish. If you feed him slow fish he’ll get sicker. However, it takes a lot of patience to get the fast fish and ONLY the fast fish, and if you feed him a slow one by accident, he’ll get much sicker. If you fail, Cid will die. Celes is really depressed about this. She goes north of the little house to the cliffs and jumps off. I’m not really sure if she was trying to kill herself, or if she just didn’t care enough to do anything, and jumping off just seemed like a good idea at the time. Either way, she lands on the beach and wakes up, nursed to health by a little bird. She’s very bitter until she sees that the little guy has a Bandana just like Locke’s. This reassurance is all she needs to bounce back. Go inside and you’ll see that Cid has left you a note. It tells you that he has faith that you will find your friends again, and he’s built a raft. Go behind the stove and down the stairs to find it. Celes will lug it all the way to the beach and take off. If you managed to save Cid, he’ll help you get the raft out, and there’s no jumping off of cliffs. When you land on a new continent, save. Now you’ll have to equip yourself, because the monsters in this part of the new world are really scary. I would recommend the black belt as an essential, b/c the monsters attack in packs. Also, if you have the Ribbon, equip that. If not, equip something to protect you from petrification, b/c if you get petrified, you’ll die. So go north and west, then south into the city of Albrook.

2. Albrook
Party: Celes
Well, there's not much to do here. Buy stuff, I suppose. You'll find out by talking to people about Kefka's "Light of Judgement." If anyone pisses him off, his or her town gets fried. Man, talk about a temper tantrum. Yow. Oh, and there's a person who you talk to by the Inn who says that you're the "spitting image of a man who came through here recently." He went to Tzen. So, I guess that's where you're going. It's way north of here, pretty much straight up. You'll pass a giant tower on the way. You can't go in even if you try. That's Kefka's Tower. Believe me, you'll want to leave that alone for a good while. Anyway, continuing north you'll see a small desert area, and north of that is Tzen.

3. Tzen
Party: Celes
When you get here, if you walk up the steps into the town, automatically Kefka's "Light of Judgement" fries the town. What the. . . ?? You just got here, too! Anyway, everyone's running around like crazy. Up in the top left corner of town, a man is holding up a house. Wait, is that. . . Sabin? Yes! Yes it is! Talk to him, and he says that he can't hold on much longer. Talk to the panicking woman next to the house and she says her kid's in there. This just isn't your day. If you don't have a Jewel Ring or a Ribbon on, put one on. If you don't HAVE one, go to the right of town to buy one before you go inside the house. And put it on. And keep that black belt on. Use physical attacks on the monsters inside the house. You have 6 minutes to save the kid and get out. Get as many treasures as you can, but leave enough time to get out. It's not hard to find the kid. There's two chests you should avoid: the one by the stairs going down, and the one to the left of the boy. They have monsters-in-boxes. (PM stalkers. Isn't that cute? They couldn't fit the whole word, "nightstalkers," so they put PM stalkers. I love it!) anyway, when you get out of the house, Sabin is all cute and charming and damn I wish he was a real live guy. He's so great. He's all "What, did you think a little thing like the end of the world was gonna do me in?" it's so cute! Anyway, then he joins you. Equip them both with Jewel Rings and Amulets, b/c the trek ahead is gonna be tough. Go east and across the bridge. When you have a choice of going north or south after the bridge, go south and continue to Mobliz.

A side note. . .
In the World of Ruin, there's not as much specific plot advancement. Basically, your mission is to find all of your friends and smash Kefka. Each of the characters has some little resolution to things in their life that plague them. The World of Ruin part of the game is mostly focused on the characters, and how they all find peace in their lives. It's very touching if you get into it. So after you get Setzer and the new airship, you have free reign of the world to explore and to find the characters in any order you choose. The order here is just an order that I did it in the first time. You don't have to get all of the characters if you don't want to, but it is STRONGLY recommended. Anyway. On with the show. . .

4. Mobliz
Party: Celes and Sabin
I think a random townsperson said it the best, "Boy, the Light of Judgement really fried that town." Boy did it. When you walk in, go left. There's these big scary dogs that come out, but they don't do anything. Then this kid comes along and gets all shocked. He runs inside. Follow him inside, and go down the stairs. There's a bunch of kids running around. Where's all the parents? Then Terra comes out. Apparently, she's been taking care of the kids. There's this flashback sequence where you see that all the parents died saving their children. After that, this big ugly green thing comes and along. The little kid comes down and says "Mama, mama,
Phunbaba's attacking! She goes to try to fight it, but she is easily knocked out. Oh well. I guess this means YOU have to do it. After you scare it away, you tell Terrra to come with you and help stop Kefka, but she can't. She doesn't understand herself and doesn't want to leave the kids. Dangit! Oh well. But hey, you get the Esper Fenrir, which is always cool. So now you have to go to Nikeah. Leave town, save, and go back the way you came. When you come to the little bridge, go north this time. Eventually, you'll arrive at Nikeah.

5. Nikeah
Party: Celes and Sabin
When you get to Nikeah, take a minute to shop around. Get stuff, and then go into the Café. Talk to everyone in there. The place is crawling with thieves. After you talk to everyone, the thieves will leave. Follow them onto their ship and talk to the captain. He says the ship belongs to the thieves! Dude, like I said. This ain't your day. Go back out into the town and you'll see Edgar standing there. . . at least, you THINK it's Edgar. Kinda looks like him. But he's wearing funny clothes. Better go talk to him to make sure. Only, now he doesn't talk like Edgar. He says he's Gerad, and he doesn't know you. But. . . but you could have sworn that was Edgar! Follow him and keep talking to him. Then go sneak on the ship. It'll take you to South Figaro.

6. South Figaro
Party: Celes and Sabin
When you get there, go into the Inn and straight into Gerad's room in the back. After talking to him, the thieves leave town again. Shop around some more, and then head west to Figaro Cave.

7. Figaro Cave
Party: Celes and Sabin
Save before you go inside, b/c you won't get a chance to later. When you enter, Sigfried is standing there. Talk to him and he'll tell you he's going to "clear out all the monsters." Uh, yeah right. Don't listen to him! He's a badguy! What he REALLY means he's going to clear out all the TREASURE. Bah. So go on inside. You should know your way around pretty well by now. If you didn't get the chests in here back in the World of Balance, now's the time. They now contain a Hero Ring (which is cool) an Ether, and an X-Potion. Make your way to the exit. Gerad and the thieves and Sigfried are standing there milling about. The exit has caved in, darn the luck. Fortunately, one of the thieves is good with (of all things) turtles. They all jump on that poor guy's back and go through the little door. Well, even though they're thieves, they've set a pretty good example for you. Go jump on the turtle's back. Apologize profusely to him before you go on. Then go through the little door. Wow, there's more caves in here. Unfortunately, Sigfried was true to his unspoken word. All the treasure chests are empty. Damn. If you go through the doorway, in the second screen you can go up and see him looting a chest. However, he runs away when he sees you. Damn. Oh well. Keep going (it's not hard to find the way) and you'll end up in the basement of Figaro Castle, of all places.

8. Figaro Castle
Party: Celes and Sabin
Leave the little cell you're in and go left. You'll see Gerad tending to a wounded soldier. Everyone you talk to in here says only one thing: "It. . . it was awful." It must have been to have everyone so spooked! Go up the stairs and down the other stairs. You can't go into any other part of the castle just now, though. So you go down the stairs, and there's more stairs. Go down those. The little guy won't stop you this time. He's too shocked, I guess. Anyway, the path here is mostly straightforward. The monsters here are mostly vulnerable to fire and bolt attacks, by the way. When you get to a room with four treasure chests and three doors, go through the left door before you go through the middle one. The chests in here contain a Gravity Rod, a Crystal Helm (equip that to Celes), an Ether, and an X-Potion. Going through the left door eventually reveals to a chest containing the Regal Crown (equip that to Sabin). Then go down and go through the middle door. Prepare yourself for a rather difficult battle up ahead. When you go up the middle passageway and through the door there, you'll see a bunch of little wormy things. The thieves go inside the room to get the treasure they've saved. Talk to Gerad and he'll say "What are you waitin' for, Celes, you gonna help me or what?" It IS Edgar! I knew it!! Anyway, you'll have to fight the big scary four
Tentacles. It's a hard battle. Use scan on each of them. Anyway, when you're done, the thieves come out. They're all "Boss? Boss where are you? He must have gotten eaten by that thing. Oh well." Dude, they gave up on him way too easily. Thieves suck. Anyway, go into the back room and look at the statue. You'll get a Soul Saber. Cool. Now go back up to that room with the guy who takes you to Kohlingen. He'll bring you to the surface and you can go into other rooms in the castle. Put Edgar in the lead (after you've equipped him with stuff) and go get that royal discount on stuff. There may be new tools in the other shop, too. Go check. Anyway, when you're done, tell that old guy to take you to Kohlingen.

9. Kohlingen
Party: Celes, Sabin, and Edgar
When you get here, everyone's depressed. Talking to a couple of people will bring flashbacks of happier times. If you go up to where a woman and a little girl are seemingly standing around, they yell at you for stepping all over their seeds. Well, go into the Café/Inn and you'll see Setzer. Huzzah! Unfortunately, he's all depressed too. But Celes and company can cheer him up and convince him to join your party. You'll see a little scene type thing that tells you where you're going next: Darill's Tomb

10. Darill's Tomb
Party: Celes, Sabin, Edgar, and Setzer
*Cue scary music* You might think that going into someone's tomb would be scary. Then again, to reassure yourself, you might think "Well, it can't be that hard. Lara Croft does it all the time. They even made a movie about it." But unfortunately, Lara isn't here to save you with her suave British accent and cool guns. This is all you. Things down here use petrification and zombifying attacks. Those are bad. Make sure you have lots of revivifies ready, and equip people with things like Amulets and Jewel Rings. If you want someone to wear the Sprint Shoes (I always do b/c I can't stand going slow like that) then equip someone with the Ribbon and the Sprint Shoes. Make sure you equip Setzer with stuff too. You don't know WHAT's lurking down here. You wanna be prepared. So when you get down there, this place is a maze. But don't worry. I gotcha covered. Go down to Basement 2. Go left and down and get the chest. Then go north through the doorway and press the switch in the turtle pond. Go back to the room with the stairs going up and the chest in the middle. Stand right in front of the chest and go down as far as you can, then go right and through the wall. Weird, isn't it? Go up when you've gone as far right as you can, and you'll see a treasure chest, and let me tell ya, what's inside really is a treasure. It's the Exp. Egg. It doubles the amount of experience one person gets. If you want to risk getting zombified or whatever, go ahead and put it on someone now. But I would recommend waiting until you're in a safer place. Anyway, go back the way you came and go up the stairs. Go north through the door and then go east as faaaaaaar as you can. Go up through the door and look at the gravestone. A door opens. Go through it and press the switch and then go south to get the treasure. By the way, any armor and weapons you have, you might want to equip to people right away. The things you will find in here are the Czarina Gown (Celes), the Crystal Mail (any of the guys who can wear it) the Exp. Egg, the Genji Helmet (anyone who can wear it), and the Man Eater (which is cool. Give it to Setzer.) anyway. Moving on. Go back up, and go west and south. When you see a turtle, jump on the poor thing and it'll take you across the water. When you get off, press the switch and go south. Look at the gravestones you see here. They say: ERAU QSSI DLRO and WEHT. Weird. Anyway, go north past the room with the turtle (sorry fella!) and go into the big room where you started Basement 2. Go west and north into the door. Look at the gravestone and carve those weird words in this order: WEHT DLRO ISSQ ERAU. When read backwards, they say "The World Is Square." Unless you're playing the Anthology version, in which case I think it says it forwards. I don't quite remember. Anyway, now you find out where the Exp. Egg is, in case you didn't know. go back to the room with the turtle (I feel so bad for him!) and jump on him (ouch!). now you're in a room with a save point and two chests. Save!! Save a lot!!! Anyway, the left treasure chest is a monster-in-a-box. It's a boss battle, too, which I think is unfair. Anyway, when you beat the
Presenter, go get the other chest (the Man Eater) and go through the door. Go up and look at the big statue. I know you don't want to. But unfortunately, that's the only way to get through this. Looking at the statue makes you fight Dullahan. I know, I'm sorry. But it has to be done. Anyway, when you beat him up, a passage opens behind the statue. Go through it. *cue sad music* This part is kind of sad. Setzer leads you down the stairs and you find out about Darill, his best friend. She had this airship, and Setzer had the Blackjack. They would always race around the world. One day, Darill wanted to see how high she could fly. Setzer told her that he would wait at their special place. He waited and waited, but she never came. The wreckage of her ship was found a full year later on a distant island. This is so sad. Setzer restored the ship and put it down underground with Darill's memorial. Her body was never found. But now, Setzer thinks that this new airship might just save the world, so he's getting it out again. Congratulations. You now have the Falcon.

11. Maranda
Party: Celes, Sabin, Edgar, and Setzer
When you get in the airship, Celes sees a cute little pigeon. She tells Setzer she has a good feeling about it, and to follow it. When you follow the little bird, you arrive at Maranda. Land the ship, save, and enter the town. You see the little bird fly over and land on a little house. If you've been to Maranda in the World of Balance, you know that this is Lola's house. Talk to the townspeople. One of them is a thief who runs around. If you talk to him, he'll tell you that one day he found a secret so great, he just had to run and hide. I don't know what kind of secret that is, but yeah. Another person is a thief who tells you that his partner used to have dreams where he would say "To the right of the treasure chest. . . To the right of the treasure chest. . ." Remember that for later. You find out that a strange man wandered through here recently who kept calling everyone "thou." Hooray, a clue! Cyan must have been through here! So go to Lola's house where that bird went. Talk to her and read the letter on the table. Talk to her again and she'll ask you to tie this letter to the bird outside. Well, go do it! Watch where the bird goes. Then go out, get in the airship, and go there. Land and save, then walk into the town. Strangely enough, it's the city of Zozo. . .

12. Mt. Zozo
Party: Celes, Sabin, Edgar, and Setzer
When you walk in, you see the bird fly over the first building. Unfortunately, the door at the top is the one that's been rusted shut. Remember that man who, in the WoB, said "this place is dangerous"? Well he's the guy you need to talk to. He'll sell you some rust-rid for 1000 gp. Take it and go through the "Café" up to that rusty door. Use the rust-rid on it and you can now go through to Mt. Zozo. Now. Here's a bit of a warning. This part of the game really pissed me off when I first played. These little bear things called Ursus always try to rip you off. They steal your money and run away. This is generally known as a bad thing. When they attack with someone else, beat up the Ursus first so he can't run away. Then work on the other guy. Okay, then, that's all. This path is really not difficult to find your way through. Go through and collect the treasures until you get to a room with two exits. The left one leads to more treasure, so go through that one. That's all of the treasure chests for in here. You should have gotten a Red Cap, the Ice Shield (very handy), the Thunder Shield (also handy, equip it to someone right away), the Aegis Shield (equip that to someone), and a Gold Hairpin (if you didn't get this in the WoB, you have one now. If you did, you have two. This is a great relic). Then come back and go through the right one. When you see the save point, go save and use a tent if you need to. Then go press the little switch. This can be accomplished by stepping on the little square thing. The treasure chest opens up and a little bat-like thing comes flying out. Eventually, it will touch you and attack. This is the
Storm Dragon. When you beat it, you get Force Armor, and a little note appears at the bottom of the screen. . . "7 Dragons left. . ." Well that's odd. . . you didn't know there were dragons you'd have to fight. For more details, see the section on the 8 dragons. Anyway, moving on. Eventually you'll get to a room with tons of flowers and a desk and a bed. There's a treasure chest in the corner, but it's locked. Go through the right exit and you'll see Cyan tying a letter to a carrier pigeon. You'll see a little scene about what happened to Cyan. He had heard about the woman in Maranda whose boyfriend in Mobliz was that wounded soldier that you helped for the Tintinabar. He died when the world ended, and Cyan felt so bad for that woman that he wrote letters to her making her think that her boyfriend was still alive. But now he will join you. Huzzah! He tells you that he ran into Gau somewhere or other, and he said he was going to the Veldt to become stronger. So that's where you should go next. But first, put him in your party and return to Maranda to talk to Lola. exchange his letter with the one on the desk. So now. The Veldt. It doesn't quite look the same, though it's still a big open area of grass.

By the way, if you are flying and you get attacked in the air, that's the Doom Gaze. you can kill him with Vanish/Doom, but he can't regenerate his hit points, so if you beat him up, he'll run away. Every time you encounter him he'll be a little lower, and so eventually you'll kill him.

13. The Veldt
Party: Choose four people from Celes, Sabin, Edgar, Setzer, and Cyan.
Land the airship near Crescent Mountain, which isn't so Crescent-ish now. It's just a big rock with a cave in it. Go inside and walk around. There's a campfire with four men around it. They tell you about a strange boy who came up to them when only three of them went out one time. That's Gau! Yay! Anyway, don't leave just yet. Go up through the door by the campfire and explore up there. There's three treasure chests up here, containing the Rage Ring, the Striker, and a monster-in-a-box. You have to walk through a part of the wall up there to get to the monster-in-a-box, but when you defeat it, it gives you the Tiger Fangs. Equip those to Sabin. Now go back through that wall and go down to reach another part of the cave. Follow the path to a door with a switch. Pull the switch and the little rocks move around. Continue on this path and you'll get to a save point. Use it, and then go down and you'll see Shadow. If you left Shadow on the Floating Continent, you'll see Relm. This part is a little weird b/c when you go look at his/her wounds, even if it's Shadow you'll still call him a "her." Anyway, as you're in the middle of looking at him/her, you get attacked by a
SrBehemoth. beat him up, and you'll take Shadow/Relm back to Thamasa.

14. Thamasa
Party: Whoever you had when you got Shadow/Relm
You'll end up in the upstairs of Strago's and Relm's house. Go to the Inn and rest, then go check on Shadow/Relm. By the way, while you're up here go to the wall on the left and look around. You'll find another Memento Ring. Now real quick, go fly back to the Veldt with only 3 people in your party and get Gau. Go back to Thamasa and you'll find out that Shadow/Relm had left! If it's Shadow, they tell you he went to the Colosseum, so you're goin there next. If it's Relm, I forgot what exactly they tell you, but she went to Jidoor, so you're goin there next. I'll do the Colosseum first, since you should go there anyway.

15. The Colosseum
Party: your choice between Celes, Sabin, Edgar, Setzer, Cyan, and Gau.
This place is kind of hard to find. Remember where Kohlingen is? Well it's north of there, and it looks just like the Opera House. When you find it, land and walk in. There's this fun music playing, and the receptionist is none other than everyone's favorite purple squid. . . Ultros. Don't worry, I told you last time that you wouldn't have to fight him again and I meant it. :-) Anyway, this place is neat. Talk to the man there and you'll find out some information about this place. People can fight one-on-one battles for prizes. However, the cost is that you have to bet an item you already have. But you get something even better, so it's alright. Anyway, when you're done finding out all the information and everything, bet the Striker and choose someone to fight. If you left Shadow behind, there's no need to bet the Striker. You won't find him there. So if you want, you can bet some stuff. Anyway, bet the Striker and you'll see that you have to fight Shadow. Wow. Well choose someone who you know can beat him without you controlling him/her. Apparently, to these people one-on-one means that you get to sit and watch and not do anything while one person from your party fights. Anyway, when you beat Shadow, he'll join your party. And he stays this time. For good. Yay! Anyway, off to Jidoor.

16. Jidoor
Party: Choose from whoever you have. I would recommend stronger party members though.
Jidoor is still the western-most town on the world map. So just find the dot on the left-est side of the map, and go there. The auction house is still there, but you can get different stuff. Instead of the skit with the Chocobo, you now have the skit with the talking imp robot. It's cute! Anyway, they also have those Espers, Golem and Zoneseek. When you're done at the auction house, go up into the rich man's house. Try to go upstairs, but you'll be pushed back. A book is suddenly sitting on the desk. Read it and go turn on the light by the stairs. Look at the picture of Gestahl twice and you'll get the Royal Letter. Look at the picture of the flowers and you'll have to fight nightshade. Now look at the picture of the "lovely lady." These weird dancer chicks called Dahlings come and attack you. When you beat them, go through the door that magically appears. Look at the picture of the chair and you'll get beat up by a Souldancer and wild cats. The left door leads to a chest. After you get the chest go through the right door and you'll see these weird doors that move around a bunch. Behind the doors is a hidden chest, so go get that. The middle door and the right door lead you back to the room with the chair, so go through the left door. (unfortunately, because it's the left door, I can't make anymore jokes about it being the "right" one. *pout*) so you go through the left door and there's this room with these weird floating chests. Go under them by stepping on their shadows and they'll attack you, but they have cool stuff in them when you win the battle. Anyway, when you've gotten all of them, look at the armor. Beat up the Still Life thing that comes out and then go through the door. Now there's a save point and two doors. Save and go through the right one, because the left one takes you back a couple of rooms. (the "right" one. . . hehehehe!!!) when you get into the big room with Owzer, you'll see that Relm is there. She'll be there whether you found her in the cave or found Shadow there. It doesn't matter. Anyway, talk to Owzer and he tells you about this
horrible demon that's invaded the beautiful picture. He'll ask you to beat it up. Sure you will. You're adventurers. That's what you're here for. ;-) beat it up and Owzer tells you that you can have the Esper. Go to the bookshelf and get it. It's Starlet. Now Relm joins you. Now at this point, you may be wondering about our good little Esper-esque friend Terra. Why don't you go back to Mobliz to see what's happening?

17. Back to Mobliz
Party: Choose from whoever you have.
When you get to Mobliz again, walk inside and go down to where you first found Terra. All the kids are telling you that Katarin is gone. Leave the little house and go to the house where that wounded soldier was in the WoB. Duane is there. Talk to him, and follow where the dog goes behind the bookshelf. Go downstairs and you'll see Terra and Katarin. You talk to them for a while and Duane and Katarin make up. Then a little kid comes and tells you that
Phunbaba is back again. Go back up and fight it. Stay alive as long as you can, and he'll sneeze out one or two of your party members. After he does that, Terra comes and fights with you. Have her morph and kill him. After the battle, all the kids come out and they're scared of Terra. One little girl sees that it's her through her eyes, even though she's in Esper form. Terra finally understands herself, and she'll join you. Now put Relm in your party and go to the Fanatic's Tower. If you don't know where that is, it's on the same land mass that Mobliz and Nikeah are on, somewhere in the middle. It's surrounded by mountains, so just land in the middle and go inside.

18. The Fanatics' Tower
Party: Relm and whoever else you want
When you walk into the grounds below the Fanatics' Tower, you'll see brainwashed cultists marching around chanting. Strangely, of all people, Strago is with them, marching in line. Relm gets his attention though, and they play out a little scene. Strago had thought all was lost because he thought Relm was gone. But now he's all excited and he joins your party. After that, you can go talk to the people around the tower. One of them offers you a secret for a million gp. Dude, don't do it. He doesn't tell you anything useful. He just wants your money. Anyway, I would not recommend climbing the tower right now. At this point you're probably not strong enough to do it. Wait, I take that back. You're definitely not strong enough to do it, and even if you are, you still have to learn one more ever-so-crucial spell before you can beat the guy at the top. So you might as well go get the Esper that teaches it, in the Phoenix Cave. Fly around to the continent that Tzen is on. Northwest of there will be a mountain range that looks like a star, and it has a hole in the middle of it.

19. The Phoenix Cave
Party: two groups of four. You should, by now, have ten to chose from: Celes, Sabin, Edgar, Setzer, Cyan, Gau, Relm, Shadow, Terra, and Strago
Make sure everyone is equipped to the max. If you want to leave, there's a little hook on the side of the cliff. Jump on to it to go back to the airship. Now, you've done multi-party battles before. This is essentially the same thing, except you don't have as much of a time limit. This is a little complicated, so I'll try to make it easier. The groups are going to be called (like in any other multi-party thing I've done) G1 and G2. This can be hard, but it doesn't have to be. Here goes.
G1 enters the cave first and steps on the switch. Press Y for G2.
G2 enters the cave and goes through the door that opened. At the top of the new stairs, turn left and go for the chest. You will fall down a level. Go down and then go up the stairs. Step on the switch and now get the chest. Go right past the stairs and then down to get to a switch that opens the door for G1. Press Y for G1.
G1 goes through the new door. Step on the switch you come to so the spikes will go down. Press Y for G2.
G2 goes up past the little holes where the spikes were. Go right until you get to another switch to hold down the other spikes. Press Y for G1
G1 goes towards the chest, but it's empty. Go down and you'll find a hidden room through the wall with a Warp Stone in it. After you get that, go back to where you were and go down the stairs. Go left and step on the switch. (all the chests are empty. I'll let you know if they're not.) Turn around and go the opposite way past the chest. You'll come to a dead end. Press Y for G2.
G2 goes left past the spike things and down the stairs. Turn right on the bridge and jump across the rocks. Turn and go back on the top set of rocks and press the switch. Press Y for G1.
G1 goes up through the now open spot and around and back down to a switch. Press Y for G2.
G2 goes up and steps on the switch. Press Y for G1.
G1 goes up across where the spikes were, and down. Jump across the rocks. continue doing this until you see a stairway going up. Go up and pull the switch you will see. Then go down as far as you can. Press Y for G2.
G2 goes left and step on the switch. Press Y for G1.
G1 goes down to find the
Red Dragon. Fight it now or later. Press Y for G2.
G2 goes down and left to where the lava has cooled down. You can walk on it now, so go out to the center chest (not empty) and go over to the left and go up. Follow until you can't go any more. Press Y for G1.
G1 goes to step on the top switch. Press Y for G2.
G2 jumps across the rocks and goes down to step on one of the two switches. Press Y for G1.
G1 goes to step on the other switch.
A door opens up. Take the stronger of the two groups to fight the Red Dragon if you haven't already, (6 Dragons left. . .) or if you still want to wait, you can come back to the Phoenix Cave. Have the other group go through the door. Locke is there and he's found an Esper. You'll automatically go to Kohlingen. When you get there, Locke tries to use the Phoenix Esper to bring Rachel back to life. It works, but only for a short time. Afterwards, you have the Phoenix Esper. Locke also has all the stuff from those empty chests: X-Potion, Fenix Down, X-Ether, Elixir, Flame Shld, and Valiant Knife. You can't be a treasure hunter and skip out on treasure! (while we're talking about the Valiant Knife, I've discovered a really great weapon combination. On Locke, equip the Genji Glove and the Thief Glove. Then give him Atma Weapon and the Valiant Knife. Select Capture when you fight with him in your party. The Atma Weapon is strongest when you're at full HP, where the Valiant Knife is strongest when you're low on HP. It's a great supplement.) anyway, now you need to go to Narshe. . .

20. Narshe
Party: Locke and two others, later Mog
When you go inside, if you haven't been in here before Lone Wolf the pickpocket (remember him?) comes out and tells you that there's only one moogle left, and that the doors are locked and only a treasure hunter could pick THAT lock. ;-) good thing you got one of them with you! Almost all of the buildings are locked, but Locke can open them. Go to the unmarked house and inside there's a man in a bed who gives you the Cursed Shield (see
Cursed Items for details). Then go to the weapon shop and go into the room in the back. There's an old man there who has the Esper Ragnarok and gives you a choice (see Ragnarok). Then go up to Arvis's house and go through the secret exit to the caves. By the way, the chests in here have all changed. If you didn't get them before, the treasure chests now contain a Pod Bracelet and an Elixir. Go find the Moogle Cave (go the way you did when Terra came here in the beginning of the game, but instead of falling through the hole, continue on and through the room where the multi-party battle took place and up through the door) and you'll find Mog. If you went to get him in the World of Balance (Mog in the WoB) then you get him again. Otherwise, now you get to name him. Go behind where Mog was standing, up to the wall and push A to get the Moogle Charm. Mog has 8 Dances he can learn. He'll join your party, or if you have four people already, he'll go to the airship. Go back and get him if he did. Anyway, now go through the hay-filed room and into a room behind where you'll see a chest. It contains a Ribbon. If you already came to this room when you were exploring the caves in the WoB, it contained the Rune Blade . So now go up to the snow fields where you had that multi-party battle with Kefka, and you'll see a dragon flying around and a save point up in the top right corner of the field. Save, then go deal with the Ice Dragon. Save again and continue north until you get to the frozen Esper. You'll have to fight the ice surrounding the Esper Tritoch, but when it's over you'll get the Esper. Also, there'll be a hole in the ground down there. Weird! A mystery! If you approach it, it'll ask if you want to jump in. (if I were you, I would go back and save first though.) Select yes and jump off. You'll land in a new cave area. (if you want to get through this fast, equip the Moogle Charm on Mog and put him in the head of your party. Otherwise, it will take a while. While I'm on the subject of the Moogle Charm, it's a very useful tool, but don't overuse it or you won't get any experience or money. moving on. . .) Wander around a while. This place isn't that big. The dark spots are holes that make you fall down a level. This is actually a good thing. When you find a switch, don't press it. Go back and make sure you've gotten all three treasure chests (containing a Gauntlet, and X-Ether, and a monster-in-a-box, which is the Pugs. Sometimes they leave a Minerva behind, sometimes not.) and go back to the switch, but don't pull it. Instead cross the bridge and pull THAT switch. You'll fall down in a weird little room. Look at the skull carving and you get the Esper Terrato. After that, a big Yeti attacks you. When you win, if Mog is in your party (which he should be, or else this is all in vain), you'll get Umaro to join you. Hooray! New party member! Next you have to go to Triangle Island. This is way up in the northeastern corner of the world map.

21. Triangle Island
Party: Anyone you want
When you see the little island that looks like a triangle with a weird little rock thing in the middle, land on it. Wander around a bit and you'll be attacked by a ZoneEater, the only monster on the island. Don't get yourself killed, but it will swallow you eventually. When all of your characters are swallowed, you'll be in a little cave. If you want to leave, go into the light. (isn't that true when you die, as well? Something to think about. . .) otherwise, let's continue. Go down and to the left and you'll be in a room with these weird little guys dressed in green that are walking on these bridges. Go and walk on a bridge, and you can jump on each of the bridges. If you touch one of the little green men (who may or may not actually be from Mars) they will knowck you down into a room with a whole bunch of treasure chests. These contain all kinds of stuff. . . neat stuff. Anyway, you'll have to go back up and into the room with the little green guys. Try not to get knowcked down again when you make it to the end of the jumping bridges, you'll be in a room with a save point. You should definitely save because in the next part you are almost guaranteed to die at least once. It's hard. When you get into the next room, don't walk forward just yet. You'll see that the ceiling comes crashing down on a timer. When it's up you have to walk to one of the holes in it, and if it hits you, you die and start back at the save point. To get past the moving ceiling, run and stop behind the first chest. Get that chest and then wait for the ceiling to come down. When it goes back up, run to the next chest as soon as you can move. Get that one and wait for the thing to fall and go up, and run not to the next chest, but down to the exit. When the ceiling goes back up, run and get the chest and run back down. After that, you get to this weird room with open treasure chests. You can jump on these by pressing A. It's kind of like that thing with the rocks in the Phoenix Cave. When you can, jump to the switch and go get the treasure on your left. Then go through the door. You'll see GoGo who is this weird mimic-type dude except that he doesn't change shape. He just mimic's things. He's the "Master of the Simulacrum!" And no one knows for sure who he is. See the
rumor and glitch page for more. Anyway, you can name him and stuff. Then go revisit the Fanatics' Tower. (by the way, if you can find a city that sells Super Balls, they're kind of expensive, but they'll be VERY useful in upcoming battles.)

22. The Fanatics' Tower Revisited
Party: four strong magic users, one of which who knows or can learn Life 3. If you want to climb the tower without any problems, use Mog and his Moogle Charm. If you want to be able to use physical attacks, use Umaro or GoGo.
When climbing up the Fanatics' Tower, you can only use magic, with the exception of Umaro who you don't control, and GoGo who you can get to fight. By going into his status screen, you can set his abilities to any that you want from the list of everyone's special abilities, fight, magic, and item. If you take GoGo and equip the magic command to him, he will know as much magic as the others combined. If you equip fight and NOT magic, he'll fight instead. Also, if you cast Bserk on a character, he/she will fight with any weapons they have equipped. But you can't control them, so I wouldn't recommend it. Anyway, when you have your party straightened out, start climbing. On the first level, the monsters aren't so bad. If you use Mog and the Moogle Charm, you will have a way easy time getting up there, but if you don't have Life 3, I would recommend not using and equipping Phoenix to someone so they can learn it. When you get about halfway up the first level, there will be a door to the right. It has a chest in it. Remember that guy who kept saying "to the right of the treasure chest"? Well it's this treasure chest. Go to the wall to the immediate right of the treasure chest and push A. When you exit the room, there'll be another door behind you. Go down and get the chest in there, which is one of Edgar's Tools. Keep going up to the second level. (there's four levels total.) About halfway up there's another door and another chest. Nothing special about this one though. On the third level, the room has the
White Dragon in it. You get the Pearl Lance when you beat it. Then keep going up to the fourth level (get the chest, don't forget), and on to the roof. Walk around fighting battles until you learn Life 3, if you haven't already. Go into the little room in there and get the Gem Box inside the chest. Equip it to someone, probably your strongest spellcaster, along with the Gold Hairpin. Prepare for battle, and leave the room. The cultists are after you! They come up and totally prevent you from leaving, just like those ghosts did on the Phantom Train way back then! Then the head cultist (I guess) comes and attacks you. This is where you use the Super Balls on the Magi Master. Beat him up and go back down the Tower. Then it's on to Doma Castle, located near the Veldt.

23. Doma Castle and Cyan's Soul
Party: Cyan and three others, recommended party is with two stronger ones and one weaker one wearing the Exp. Egg.
When you get there, search the whole castle for treasure. Don't forget to look in pots and stuff. When you come to the room with the beds, take a nap. When you do, you see Cyan dreaming. Then the Dream Stooges come and claim Cyan's soul. You have to go after them. You start in this weird, blue dream thing. You're now with only one person and you have to find the other ones. This part is confusing and involves a lot of doors. You probably won't understand what I'm saying unless you do it right when you read this. Anyway. Go left and you'll see some doors. Go through the right one and you'll see some more doors. Go through the right one again and you'll see one of the Stooges with one of your characters. Now to through the door and go right, entering THAT door. Go left again and this time enter the left door. Go down and get your other character, also guarded by a Stooge. Go through the door and enter the top door, followed by the door on the right, and then go through the only door left. Then go right and enter the other door. Then go down and try to go in the other door. This is when the
Dream Stooges attack you. Beat them up and go through the door. Woah, suddenly you're on a train. Well that's weird. . . but then again, this is a dream. Well, go left into the train car, and continue to the second car. Pull the switch twice when you enter, and get the treasure. Now go to the farthest left of the train, past the moving chest, and get the chest in there. A Lump of Metal. How odd. . . well anyway, go back right and press A on the chest that moved around a bunch. The person in the lead puts the Lump of Metal in the box. Hey, that makes sense! Now go get that chest it was guarding. Anyway, now go left and pull that switch thingie. Look at which chests are open and which are closed. Then go to the next car. There's a chest to the left of the entrance on the other side of the chair/couch/seat thing and there are four switches. Flip them in the following order, numbered 1 to 4, right to left. 1, 2, 1, 3. Now go close and open the chests so that they look the same as in the previous car (open, open, closed; closed, closed, open) and pull the switch. The wall opens and you can go to the next car. Now go to the engine room and I think there was a save point around here somewhere. Well, after that, leave the room. Okay, I could have SWORN we were in a train a second ago. . . but now we're in a cave. That's odd. Well, go down and you'll see Cyan in some MagiTek armor, running around. Keep going on the path until you re-enter the cave at the same point. Instead of continuing to go down and around, go back the way you came and you'll be in a new spot. Try to cross the bridge and it'll break and you'll fall. . . down. . . down. . . down into the room where you guys were sleeping. Go explore around the castle a bit and you'll see a few scenes about Cyan's past. Don't go into the throne room yet. There are three scenes, one with Cyan and his wife in the room to the right of the throne room, one on the left side of the castle where he and Owain are fencing, and one on the right side of the castle where they're fishing. It's really sweet, and it made me cry. : -( But now you have to go to the throne room where you'll have to fight a really hard battle with Wrexsoul. After that, you see a scene where Cyan makes peace with his losses, and he gets a cool sword and learns all 8 SwdTechs. You wake up, so go to the throne room b/c there's an Esper there, Alexandr. Next, go back to Figaro Castle.

24. Figaro Castle and the Ancient Ruins
Party: Whoever you want.
The castle should still be by Kohlingen, so go in and ask the guy to take you to Figaro. On the way, you stop and the guy says there's something "odd with the stratum" or something like that. Choose to stop and explore. Go to the jail cells and through the doorway the thieves made. You'll be in a cave. Go around and explore and you'll find a total of five chests. One is a monster-in-a-box containing
Master Pug who gives you the Gradeus when you defeat it. You'll see a save point, and I would suggest making full use of it. Then continue on your path, and you'll arrive at an ancient castle. Go inside and you'll see a statue of Odin. There's some flashbacks along the way. Look at the statue to get the Esper Odin. (see Odin to Raiden for details) Wander around the castle for a while, getting the chests. Then go outside and go through the doors to the left and right of the stars. The one on the left contains a chest with a monster-in-a-box inside, the Katana Soul. when you defeat it, you receive the Offering. (when you combine the Offering with the Genji glove, you have the capacity to attack someone 8 times in a row.) Now go back the way you came, into Figaro Castle and have the man continue your journey. Your airship is by Kohlingen, so you might wanna go back there. ;-) When you get it, put Relm and Strago in your party and go to Thamasa.

25. Thamasa
Party: Relm, Strago, and two others.
When you enter, you see Relm all excited about being home, but then you find out that Strago's friend Gungho is hurt. He tells you that Hidon did it, and he wants you to go avenge him. Since Ebot's Rock is above water, you can do that! You guys go to Ebot's Rock. When you get inside, there's a little spot on the ground. Stepping on it will transport you to a place in the cave. Go up and there's a talking treasure chest who refuses to let you by! Apparently he likes to eat Coral, and he wants YOU to feed him. Well, get back on that transporter switch, mister! You basically wander around randomly, and when you find a treasure chest, they all contain Coral. Man, this place is NOT adventurer friendly. Hrmph. Well, keep wandering around and getting Coral. When you see the chest again, feed it to him, and when you've given him enough, he'll let you through. Go straight up and you'll see
Hidon. Kill him and take Relm and Strago back to Thamasa. Strago's all like bragging to Gungho and stuff, but then he finds out that Gungho was just a big fat faker. He wasn't hurt at all. But Strago's still happy b/c it gave him a chance to do what he's been trying to do for years, and to renew his sense of adventure. It's so sweet! (by the way, if you killed Hidon, but missed out on getting Strago's Grand Train Lore, all you have to do is talk to Gungho a few times and it'll reset and you can beat him again. Next, go to the Opera House.

26. The Opera House
Party: Whoever you want, preferably either all wearing Gaia Gear or Cherub Downs.
Go into the Opera House, located between Jidoor and Maranda. The little dude is panicking again b/c there's a dragon on the stage!!! Go up to the balcony and talk to Impresario. Go up and to the right to where those four switches were and pull the second switch from the right to fall to the stage. You'll get up and walk over to the
Dirt Dragon. Now there are some things to take care of before you make your final stop.

27. Last Minute Details
Party: Various
There are a lot of parts in the World of Ruin that don't have anything to do with winning the game. A lot of them are up above, but some of the less involved ones are down below.

The 8 Dragons
When the world was undone, several beasts were released.
Phunbaba, Doom Gaze, and the 8 Dragons. If you defeat these 8 dragons, you will get the Esper Crusader, which is very powerful and useful. Just to be sure that you've gotten them all, they are listed below, with their locations.
Storm Dragon, located in Mt. Zozo inside a treasure chest. Its powers are mostly centered around wind attacks.
Red Dragon is in the Phoenix Cave. Its powers are mostly fire-based.
Blue Dragon lurks underground in the Ancient Castle. It is hidden in a secret room, however. It uses powerful water attacks.
Ice Dragon is in the snowy fields in northern Narshe. As you can probably imagine, this one's big on ice attacks.
White Dragon attacks you in a room in the Fanatics' Tower. It uses Pearl attacks, but sometimes ice too.
Dirt Dragon is apparently fond of fine music, as it has for some reason taken over the Opera House. It uses a lot of earth based attacks.
Gold Dragon is located in Kefka's Tower. It likes to use bolt attacks a lot.
Skull Dragon is the last one. It's undead and uses attacks on your characters' status.
Any and all of these Dragons can be killed easily by using the Vanish and Doom spells consecutively. Some people prefer to use something a bit more challenging, though, so I've included them in the boss list. The links are above. Happy hunting!
The Return to Solitary Island
Now, you might think that this is a big quest or something, but actually it's just a little errand you have to run. If you've kept Cid alive, you can stop in to visit him, but he doesn't say anything interesting. So why, you ask, have I brought you here? Well, on the beach (for some reason) is the Esper Palidor. Just thought you might like to have that. ;-)
Cursed Items
Now, on this little adventure, you may have come across a couple of interesting items, namely one Cursed Shield and one Cursed Ring. Well, supposedly if you fight in 255 battles with these items equipped, they will change. The Cursed Shield becomes the Paladin Shield, and it teaches you Ultima, just like the Ice, Fire, and Thunder shields teach you various Ice, Fire, and Thunder spells (respectively). I don't know what the Cursed Ring changes into or what it does, but if you want to try to uncurse these things, you have my blessing. Equip yourself with a Ribbon to negate the effects (except Condemned) and walk around like that. I personally have never done this because I lack patience, but I have heard no less than 20 million people tell me it works for real, so I'm relying on that. Good luck!
The Coliseum
Well, you may have already been to the Coliseum once, but now you're goin again. You don't really have to, but I thought for those of you that haven't, now would be a good time to explain things. You can fight at the coliseum for items, weapons, armor, and relics. In my
Armor, Weapon, and Relic lists, I have listed the items that you can trade them for here. You have to select one person in your party to fight the champion of that item in a one-on-one situation where you don't control what happens. Sometimes the battles are pretty hard, but most of them you can handle. Anything you want to trade out, better do so before you hit Kefka's place.
Odin to Raiden
A lot of people do this right away because they don't see how useful Odin is. They just want Raiden. I'm not saying that Raiden isn't useful, because it is actually one of the more powerful Espers. But I would recommend using Odin a bunch before you do this. That's why I didn't put this with the rest of the Ancient Castle. Learn Meteor on a couple of people first. It's cool. Anyway, go back to the Ancient Castle if you can. (I don't remember if it will let you. . . . if not I'm REALLY sorry and I give you permission to stare at me and call me funny names) Go back there and go into the room where you found Odin. Go to the right throne and take five steps down and press A. a secret room opens up and the
Blue Dragon is there. Look at the Queen's Statue and the Esper Odin will change itself into Raiden.
Duncan's House
Put Sabin in your party with whoever else, and get in the airship. A little to the north of Narshe there will be five trees that make sort of a plus sign. Land the airship on the middle one. If that doesn't work, then land the airship and walk to the middle one. This is Duncan's House. Betcha thought he was dead, no? Well he's not. He's alive and kicking, and Sabin and he will have a little sparring match. He'll teach Sabin his Bum Rush, which is his ultimate Blitz. However, that also means that it's ultimately hard to pull off. But work with the buttons a bit and you'll get it. ;-) and hey, while you have Sabin in your party. . .
Gau's Father
With Sabin and Gau both in your party, go to that crazy old man's house north of the Veldt. If you go inside, Sabin will tell Gau that his father lives here. Gau get's all excited and Sabin decides to help him. Watch the little scene that plays out. It's sweet, and kind of sad. Definitely worth seeing.
Shadow's Dreams
When you get Shadow back in your party, spend some time taking him to different cities and sleeping in the Inns. This takes a while to do, but you'll see his dreams and learn more about his past. You probably have to sleep in an Inn more than once to get all the dreams there, and they don't necessarily happen every time you sleep. But it's worth it. I've heard that there are seven dreams in all, but I've only seen four. These dreams combined with the fact that Interceptor likes Relm and the fact that Relm and Shadow are the only people who can use the Memento Rings all lead people to believe that Shadow is Relm's father. Although I have heard a total of ONE person say that he thought they were brother and sister . . .
Mog's Dances
Mog's special skill is dance. He dances around and makes the bad guys die. It's cute, really. Anyway, here are all of Mog's dances and what they can do. And where you learn them. ;-) there's one for every type of terrain you can fight in.

Ragnarok
In Narshe, if you have Locke, he can pick the locks on the doors. Inside the weapon shop and downstairs is a man who carries the Esper Ragnarok. Woohoo! you might say. Well, let me tell ya, there's potential Woohoo! but it is most likely going to come after a bit of deliberation. See, this man is a weaponsmith, and he can make this Esper into an extremely powerful sword. So a lot of people ask me what they should do. And the answer isn't exactly simple either, unfortunately. See, the Esper Ragnarok teaches the most powerful spell in the game, Ultima. And in many of the boss battles coming up, it's a really useful spell. But Ragnarok the sword is incredibly powerful, and it can be traded at the Coliseum for the Illumina, the most powerful sword in the game. So what do you do? Well, there is one way to get around it, but I wouldn't recommend it. I pulled it off once, but it's a huge risk. It's under the
Glitches section. But aside from a glitch in the game, this decision all depends on your gaming style. If you're more spell-oriented, I'd say go for the Esper. If you're an economist, I'd say go for the Esper because its value can be spread (learned) by everyone. But if you're a hack-n-slash kinda person, go for the sword. If you like to beat stuff up, or even if you just don't think you'll have enough MP at the crucial moment, go for the sword. Either way, you're getting one hell of a deal. Another thing to think about is that the Paladin Shield (the uncursed Cursed Shield) teaches Ultima as well. Well I hope that this info wasn't completely useless!

Before you go to Kefka’s Tower, make sure you have the best armor and weapons for everyone. If you don’t want to spend more time doing that, just make sure everyone has armor and weapons, even if they’re not that great. I would also recommend getting three pairs of sprint shoes, b/c it’s so annoying when you have to go slow.

28. Kefka's Tower
Party: 3 groups of 4. If you want the maximum plot effect, choose the 12 main characters, i.e. everyone but GoGo and Umaro. However, GoGo and Umaro can be useful, so if you just want to finish the game, pick the 12 strongest. Make the middle group the strongest b/c they have the most fighting to do.
When you land, the three groups land far apart. Kefka's Tower is the last part of the game, so it's going to be hard, duh. Anyway, these groups will be from left to right: G1, G2, and G3. The monsters here are the hardest in the game, so be careful. Make sure everyone has an Esper equipped and everyone has Relics and weapons and armor. You should keep learning spells all the way up until the end. If you need to leave the Tower for anything, when the hook comes around, jump on it. If not, let's continue. There's 8 boss battles in here before you get to Kefka, where you have to fight another 4 battles. Also, when you find the chest with the Hero Ring in it, go look at the south wall and there'll be a secret passage to a chest with the Aegis Shield in it. But let's burn that bridge when we come to it. First, you have to get movin. So, take your first group and lets go.
G1: go around to the right and get the chest, then enter the little hatchway thingy to the left. Keep going until you get to a dead end. It's not hard to find. There'll be a switch and a chest on the other side of the room that you can't get to. Press Y for G2.
G2: Go forward until you get a choice between going up and down. Go up first for some treasure, and then go down, which leads to a prison. Inside one of the cells is
Atma, who you'll obviously have to fight. When he dies, he turns into a save point. Step on it. I've noticed something about save points in multi-party situations. When one party is standing on a save point, the other parties can use Tents and Sleeping bags too. Try it. Save and leave the prison, continuing down. Eventually you'll see two pipe things. The right one takes you back to before the prison. Go through the left one and there'll be a hatch thing and a chest on the far left. Go through the hatch and step on the switch to get the chest. Go back up and go through the door on the right. Keep going straight to reach the Gold Dragon, who gives you the Crystal Orb. Keep going and you'll see a room with a switch. Stand on it and press Y for G3
G3: Go through the hatch that's next to the chest and there'll be two more chests. Come back and go through the other hatchway. This path leads to a save point (eventually). After the save point, Inferno drops down on you by surprise. Beat him up and continue. There's gonna be a chest that sorta glows a bit. Look at it and it'll open to a passage for the other group. Keep going and you'll eventually see the Skull Dragon, who gives you the Muscle Belt (way cool). This is the last Dragon, too, so if you've killed the others, you get the Esper Crusader. So keep going MORE (it's taking forever, I know. . .) and you'll be on the other side of that room with Group 2 in it. Go stand on that little switch thingie. (I have a thingie for the word thingie. . .) Press Y for G1.
G1: Dead end? What dead end? Holy crap, the way is open! Kickass! Not only that, but there's a clear path! How nice of Kefka to leave you a trail of bread crumbs. . . anyway, follow said path and you'll end up in the room that the other two groups are in. go straight, and when you get to the switch, step on it and go left. It really doesn't matter which side you go on, but I like left. It starts with L. L is a great letter. ;-) anyway, then go down and Press Y for G2.
G2 Get off the switch and push that weight off the edge down below. Then go back and stand on the switch again. Go through the main doorway and do what G1 did on the right side. Press y for G3.
G3 Go through the main door and step on the switch. Then go south and step on the platform. It opens up a couple of other paths. Press Y for G1.
G1 Go down to where you pushed that weight off and go left through that door. Go straight and fight Doom, which gives you the Sky Render and a save point. Go through the pipe thing to the north and stand on that switch. Press Y for G2.
G2 Go down and out to the door on that right. Go straight and you'll have to fight Goddess who gives you a legendary sword. It's pretty neat. I'm kinda surprised that it's in this game, b/c well. . . Goddess doesn't' exactly come from a lake. . . and Cyan isn't a king. . . oh! Walkthru. . . right. Okay. Let's go. Go through that door and step on the switch after you save. Press Y for G3.
G3 Go up and fight the Guardian from Vector. This guy is a big badass. Oh well you'll beat him. And then it'll turn into a save point. Go through the door and left, and then down through another door. There's a wall below that you can look at to get a Ribbon. Go up and fight the Poltergeist who gives you the Aura Lance. Save again and go drop down that hole. Step on the switch and you'll be magically transported to Kefka's Lair.

This scene is really great. I love it. It's a little cheesy, but consider the rest of the game. It makes much much sense. So anyway. Organize the characters in the order you want them to fight. The Specs for the final battle are here.

So that's it. The end of the game. I really hope you enjoyed it. ;-) The ending is really worth seeing. I believe you will enjoy it thoroughly. :-D
